Adulthood
I recently got a job, which is great, but adjusting to the early mornings and going to bed earlier kind of threw my routine off a bit. I have not picked up my needles much in the last few weeks. It was not until this week that I was able to sit down and start this project for someone. I think my stress diminishes the more I knit, and now that I am starting to adjust I am hoping to fit more knitting in the evenings. Real life and being an adult get in the way of fun knitting and yarn petting. :P

Knit-the-Fez’s FANTASTIC 150 FOLLOWER GIVEAWAY!
Basically, I have the best followers ever and I felt I should do something for you guys. Since I can’t make you all tea and pet your heads/smush your faces, a giveaway will have to suffice.
There will be three winners. Each winner will get to pick a prize from the list, starting with the first drawn, then second, then third. I am doing it this way so no one gets locked into any one type of prize. Most of you do one craft or another, so hopefully there is at least one thing listed here that you would want.
Prizes to choose from:
- Mini-skein pack – 8 mini skeins pulled out of my hexipuff bag. Most are either handspun or my dye-jobs, so they are unique.
- A project bag set – two project bags of the style and fabric of your choosing.
- Needle/hook case – you choose the fabric and type of case.
- A handmade from me! – Your choice. It can be knitted, tatted, or crocheted. I will limit this to a medium sized project like mitts/mittens, shawlettes, etc…
- A pattern of your choice gifted to you on ravelry or your e-mail.
Rules:
- Tumblr rules prevent me from limiting this to just my followers, so I can’t say you have to be following me, but I would like it if you were. :Dc
- Only reblogs count. You can like if you want, but it won’t improve your chances.
- Only reblog once a day and, please, don’t use multiple blogs to reblog this. Let’s be fair.
- I will ship anywhere, don’t worry about that. If you can get mail from the US, you are good.

Today’s #doodle #knitting #drawing #craft
I am supposed to be going to our friends’ home tonight for dinner and a movie. I know I probably should not bring my knitting, but if we are just sitting there watching a movie, it is not bad to knit? Right? I know if I don’t bring it, I am going to sit there and think about how I could be knitting while enjoying good company. I might have a problem?

New Year of Knitting
My mom called me the other day and informed me of what her New Year knitting plans are, as well as other tasks she plans to tackle this upcoming year. It was heartwarming that she wanted to share it with me, but it also got me thinking about what things I wanted to tackle myself. I am still not sure what that will be as of yet, but I have started a cowl. :)
I have always liked the honey comb cowl pattern by Madeline Tosh and I am finally working on it.

Some People are Adorable
Sometimes you meet people who just put a smile on your face. While riding the packed train back from New York, I sat next to this nice older man. He saw that I was following a knitting pattern on my Nook Tablet and said, “Miss? Are you following a pattern on your device?”
I replied, ” I am.”
He said, ” I love the blend of the old and the new; that is so neat.”
He was simply adorable and he was pleasant train companion. Moments like these brighten up my days.
